DEAR FAITHFUL PARTNERS AND FRIENDS OF CENTRAL BRAZIL MISSION, November 2021
Greetings from Brazil and from the U.S. By the time you get this we will be in the U.S., arriving November 10 and remaining until January 19. During this time, we will attend the ICOM Missionary Conference in Richmond, Virginia where we also will have our annual CBM Board Meeting. We will be speaking at a few of our supporting churches and reporting to some Mission Committees.
Thanks for your prayers on behalf of the 6 most recent Amazon Boat Trips. There weren’t any problems with those that came from the U.S. for the trips nor their return. Everyone tested negative both coming and returning.
On the FAME trip which was a 2-week September trip we travelled over 1500 miles on Amazon rivers, visiting 15 new villages and treating 830 individuals. We were even able to go into the State of Pará just southwest of Parintins. The crew was excited about this new area we were visiting for the first time and came up with this slogan: “Conquering Pará”.
Each team that came brought plenty of meds and vitamins, and we can’t say enough about how much we need your help with these vitamins and meds. THANKS AGAIN!
We will be communicating with the churches that are scheduled for the 2022 trips during this time in the States.
Just received some travel info from the U.S. Embassy:
Effective November 8, all travelers to the United States by air must attest to their COVID-19 vaccination status and undergo testing.
Fully vaccinated U.S. citizen travelers must continue to provide a negative COVID-19 test within three calendar days of traveling or documentation of recovery in the previous 90 days.
Unvaccinated U.S. citizen travelers two years of age or older will need to provide a negative COVID-19 test taken within one calendar day of traveling or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the previous 90 days.
Thanks again for your faithful partnership with us.
Earl and Ruth Anne
