GENERAL INFORMATION FOR BRAZIL TRIP
Info: Brazil Amazon Boat Trip
TENTATIVE DATES: Trips are between February and October each year.
Leaving on a Tuesday for a 9 or 10 day trip, then returning on a Friday or Saturday.
ITINERARY: Domestic flight to Atlanta or Orlando. Then flying on Copa Airlines
to Panama City and then to Manaus, Brazil, arriving on Wednesday at about 3:30 am. Returning on Friday or Saturday at 4:30 am, going back to Panama City and then back to Atlanta or Orlando, arriving back home the same evening.

NEW: Make sure every team member is physically able to enjoy the Amazon experience. The trips are not usually strenuous, but people with severe health problems, balance difficulties, or mobility issues requiring the use of ambulation assistance devices (I.e., crutches, walkers, etc.) should not come on the boat trips. Central Brazil Mission reserves the right to refuse travel on the boat for any person deemed to be a safety hazard.
NEW: Make sure your team understands that smoking, the use of alcohol or illicit drugs are strictly forbidden on the boat. Bad attitudes are not well tolerated either !
PREPARATION STEPS:
Obtain U.S. Passport – $ 150.00 Fee – (Get application at local post office).
E-Visa required for travel to Brazil. ($80 - $100).

Air fare: $ 1,000 – 1,200 (domestic and international flights).

Malaria Medicine – (Malarone) $ 130.00
Mission Expenses: (per person): $ 1,500 –(Take in cash of 15 - $100 bills).
Take smaller bills for cashing for shopping on last day in Manaus.
In-country expenses: food, nationals’ salaries, fuel and maintenance, etc…..
(The only expenses you will have from the time you arrive in Brazil until you
leave will be for personal items and gifts).
