I can’t believe we are already in the month of February of this new year of 2026. Many things have happened already with CBM.
We started out the year continuing a lot of maintenance projects on the boat. Two generators were rebuilt, and entire set of steps were moved and improved going to the top deck of the boat. The CBM Amazonia was painted. Many of the rooms had updates done in them improving the steps to climb to the top bunk with drawers and cabinets added. The entire electrical panel on the boat was updated. Three new AC units were put in a new compressor was purchased for the dental units as well as thorough maintenance done on both the dental unit chairs. These and much more were done before our first trip.
Our first trip of the year was January 27 – February 7 with Connection Pointe Church from Indiana. This was an absolute awesome trip with this group whose main commitment was prayer and allowing the Holy Spirit to move in. The Holy Spirit came in strong and we could sure feel God’s presence on the boat. We were able to minister and serve 540 medical patients, 154 dental patients with 227 procedures and had prayer with all patients and families. Please go to our web site cbm.org.br and read the amazing journal of how God moved throughout the trip: before, during and after.
We then had our first leadership seminar for our 45 plus missionaries and their disciples.
The theme this year is based on Ephesians 2: 19-22 "Church, a family to belong too".
Some of our missionaries, disciple & families traveled as far as 12 hours to come to participate in our required seminar. They were encouraged to bring food to share with everyone. Fish, fruits, mandioca & killed game to help cut down on food expenses. This is something we have encouraged them to do as part of their giving back to CBM.
A big emphasis was placed on consistency in their work in the villages: visiting, discipling, family groups and church services. They were encouraged to pay special attention to the new people that were showing signs of interest in learning about Jesus through generosity and hospitality.
Thanks for your continual support to CBM as we continue to take Christ, Life & Health to the Amazon region of Brazil.
We continue working for a greater harvest,
