CBM MISSION TRIP

CBM TRIP 11 - 22 AUGUST, 2026

John Chapter 7 Verses 37-38: “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me, and drink. The one who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

What a gift it has been for our Journey Christian Church team from Midlothian, Virginia to serve Jesus alongside CBM and see His living water quench our needs and the needs of others in so many ways! We are truly grateful to have experienced the CBM Crew, 7 different villages long the Amazon and the beauty of God’s creation along the way.

The villages visited were Boralho, Saracura, Oncas, Aguia, Guariba, Vila Bentes, and Monte Sinai; altogether, 555 medical and 95 dental patients were seen with 246 dental procedures.

The presence of the Holy Spirit was tangible here as if the veil between heaven and earth is thinner along the wilds of the Amazon.

God revealed Himself not only in the number of people who waited on the shores but also in the small moments where we were able to connect personally with villagers. One teenage girl sighed deeply and indicated a rapid beating heart because she was afraid of the dentist. A teammate was able to sit with her and pray before the procedure. Shortly after, she was seen in the dental chair with a smile. When villagers received a printed photo of their families, they would joyfully cry and share with one another. One individual was so thankful to have a tangible picture of his 81 year old grandfather and said the Lord is faithful. These moments and many others filled the villages and the hearts of our team.

God’s grace moved the hearts of those on our Journey team as well. Cheers rang out as one teammate chose to be baptized in the Amazon!

From the majesty of the stars above us as we traveled along the Amazon at night to being afforded to be the hands and feet of Jesus, our team leaves with full hearts. We are grateful for the work God is doing through this ministry of 55 years and pray that God continues to flow His Rivers of living water through CBM and teams that come alongside them.
